In the first level of this program, children will learn the twenty six alphabet letters with their sounds and the words beginning with each letter. At the end of this level, they will be able to understand the letter-sound relationship of the five short vowels, 'a', 'e', 'i', 'o' and 'u' and the twenty one consonants.
 


Children will learn how to write and pronounce the letters, Aa, Bb, and Cc. They will also learn that they are the beginning letters of 'apple', 'book' and 'cat'.
Children will review the sounds of the letters, Aa, Bb, and Cc by matching the letters with corresponding pictures.


Children will learn some additional words which begin with Aa, Bb or Cc; 'album' and 'ant' for Aa; 'bat' and 'bed' for Bb; 'cap' and 'cup' for Cc. Through this step, children will be able to recognize the words and their beginning sounds.

Children will learn how to write and pronounce the letters, Ww, Xx, Yy, and Zz. They will also learn that they are the beginning letters of 'watch', 'yacht', 'zebra' and the ending sound of 'box'.
Children will review the sounds of letters Ww, Xx, Yy and Zz by matching the letters with corresponding pictures.



Children will learn some additional words which begin with Ww, Yy or Zz and the words which end with 'Xx'; 'window' for Ww; 'fox' and 'six' for Xx; 'yo-yo' for Yy; 'zoo', 'zero' for Zz. Through this step, children will be able to recognize the words and their beginning sounds.
Children will review letters Mm through Zz with their sounds and the words beginning with these letters.
Children will review all of the twenty-six letters with their sounds and the words beginning with each letter.
